Tasks

A general-purpose task list for the work that doesn't fit anywhere else. Each task has a title, optional description, priority, category, due date, and an optional link to a lead or client.

Quick answers
What's the difference between Tasks and Follow-ups?
Tasks are the general bucket — anything you need to do. Follow-ups are time-bound nudges tied to a specific lead or client ("call back Friday"). When you create a task with category "Follow-up" linked to a lead or client, the system also creates the matching follow-up so it appears in both places. Marking either complete syncs the other.
Where do tasks come from?
Three sources: clicking + New Task on this page; the Tasks card on a lead or client detail page (which prefills the linkage); and workflows configured with a "Create follow-up" step.
How do I see overdue tasks?
The Overdue stat card at the top shows the count, and the task stream groups tasks into Overdue / Today / This week / Later / Done. Overdue tasks also carry a red color stripe on the left.
Can I bulk-complete tasks?
Not today. Each task has a check circle on the left that toggles completion individually. If you want a bulk-completion workflow, drop a feature request via the Give feedback button.

The grouped task stream

Tasks bucket into five sections by due date math (Overdue, Today, This week, Later, Done). Completed and cancelled tasks always go to Done regardless of their due date. Tasks without a due date land in Later. Within each section, urgent priority sorts first.

Creating tasks

Click + New Task. Title is required; everything else is optional. Priority is low/medium/high/urgent — the left color stripe on the card reflects this. Category is one of Call, Email, Meeting, Follow-up, Paperwork, Review, Renewal, Other (rendered with a glyph icon). Lead or client linkage is optional but useful: it puts the task on that record's Engagement card too.

Completing tasks

Click the round checkbox on the left. Done tasks slide to the Done section. Click again to reopen. If the task is also a follow-up, the matching follow-up row flips state at the same time.

Filtering

The filter bar above the stat strip has free-text search plus status, priority, and category selects. Selects auto-submit on change; search auto-submits 350ms after your last keystroke. The clear link wipes every filter.
