Subscribers

Your marketing audience and their opt-in state. A subscriber is anyone who's given you their email through any of your forms, manual entry, or CSV import. Each row tracks whether they're still subscribed, when they joined, and where they came from.

Quick answers
What's the difference between a subscriber and a lead?
A lead is a prospect you're actively working through a sales pipeline. A subscriber is anyone on your marketing list. They overlap heavily — most leads are also subscribers — but you can have subscribers who aren't leads (e.g., people who only signed up for your newsletter), and leads who aren't subscribers (someone who opted out of marketing but you're still working their quote).
Why is someone marked unsubscribed?
They clicked the unsubscribe link in one of your emails. Once opted out, they're excluded from every future marketing send (blasts, workflows with subscription respect enabled, birthdays). Transactional sends (appointment confirmations, password resets) still go through.
My blast says some recipients were skipped. Why?
Recipients are skipped if they unsubscribed or if their address was blocked after a bounce or complaint. The summary after a blast shows the sent, failed and skipped counts.
Can I re-subscribe someone?
Only they can. Privacy laws (CAN-SPAM, GDPR) require explicit re-opt-in by the recipient, not the sender. If they want back on the list, they need to re-submit one of your forms.
Where do subscribers come from?
Public lead-capture form, the booking page (when auto-create lead is on), CSV import, and manual creates. Each subscriber row tracks source so you know.

The list

Email, joined date, source, status (Subscribed / Unsubscribed). Filter by status to scope to just the active list. Sortable by joined date.

How blasts use this list

Blast audience selection "Subscribers only" maps to "every row in this table where status = Subscribed". You can mix this with lead/client filters for combined audiences. Unsubscribed rows are silently excluded from every blast and every workflow step configured to respect subscriptions.

Blast attachments

The blast composer takes file attachments — up to 5 files, 10MB each, 24MB total (PDF, images, Word, Excel, or text). The same files are sent to every recipient in the audience, so keep attachments small on large blasts.

Unsubscribe links and the footer

Every marketing email InforceDesk sends carries an unsubscribe link in the footer, followed by your brand name and mailing address if saved. The link is signed per recipient and per workspace, so a recipient's unsubscribe in your workspace doesn't affect their subscription in another workspace they're also on. The page they land on shows your logo and colors.

Blocked addresses

When Resend reports that an address no longer exists, or that the recipient marked your email as spam, InforceDesk blocks that address for marketing mail in your workspace. You will see it as a skipped recipient on blasts and as a "Not sent" notice in the composer. Transactional email to the same address is still allowed. Blocks are not reversible from the UI today; contact support if an address was blocked by mistake.

SMS opt-out is separate

SMS subscribers are tracked in a separate table. A recipient can be opted in to email and opted out of SMS, or vice versa. They control SMS by replying STOP to any of your messages.
