Onboarding wizard

The 5-step flow you see after signing up and adding the card that starts your 30-day trial (see Billing & plan for how the trial works). You can revisit any step, skip ahead, or come back to finish setup later. Once you finish step 5 the wizard stops surfacing and you land on the dashboard from then on.

Quick answers
Can I skip onboarding entirely?
Yes. The "Skip onboarding" link on any step marks you complete and takes you to the dashboard. Nothing breaks. You can configure branding, integrations, and team invites later from Settings.
Where do I go to redo a step later?
Each step's content lives in a regular settings page. Branding is at Settings → Workspace. Sender setup is at Settings → Integrations. Team invites are at Settings → Members. Sample data is one-shot; once seeded, the toggle no longer shows.
What does "sample data" actually add?
A demo set of 20 leads across every status, 5 clients with policies, a handful of tasks, three appointments, five follow-ups, and a couple of email logs. Every sample lead has an email ending in @inforcedesk-sample.local so you can spot and delete them later.

The five steps

1. Branding

Set your agency name, logo, accent color and mailing address. The first three show up everywhere customers see your sends, including transactional emails, the booking page, and confirmation screens. You can leave the logo blank to start. Accent color is a hex value like #1768E5.

The mailing address is optional in InforceDesk. If you save one, it appears in your marketing email footer. You can add or change it later under Settings → Workspace.

2. Sender setup

Paste your Resend API key plus the "from" email and name you want recipients to see. Once you save, every email InforceDesk sends on your behalf goes through that account, and replies land in that mailbox. If you skip this step, sends fall back to a generic platform sender and replies go nowhere useful, so plan to come back and finish it.

3. Sample data

Optional. Seeds enough demo records to make the dashboard and analytics pages render with realistic numbers so you can poke around without staring at empty states. Safe to skip if you'd rather start from zero.

4. Invite teammates

Three email/role rows you can fill in any subset of. Each invite emails a one-time link that expires in 7 days. Solo? Skip this step. You can invite later from Settings → Members.

The rows are greyed out when your plan has no seats left. A trial includes one seat and you are using it, so most new workspaces see this. Finish setup anyway; when you want a teammate in, upgrade to Team from Settings → Billing and invite from the Members page.

5. Done

Three cards. Import your leads (CSV) opens the Leads page with the import box already up. Connect your calendar takes you to Settings → Calendar to link Google Calendar. Go to dashboard skips both. The wizard won't surface again after this screen, and you can do the other two later from Settings.

Cancellation feedback

If you ever cancel your subscription, a separate one-time form appears asking what worked, what didn't, and why you're leaving. It's optional, you can only submit once per workspace, and your answers go to the team that builds the product. Honest feedback there is the single most useful thing you can do for the next person who tries InforceDesk.
